Beggining the journey.

 I have now started work at a school teaching english to french students so the blog will be more frequenty updated with tips and skills I learn from this day to day interaction. Im my lessons I am teaching students of all ages english and through the process picking up more and more french.

The first thing to overcome is the desire to speak foreign english in order to be understood its very easy to find yourself speak using poor grammar and disordered sentences in order to be understood. The same applys in reverse and when first beginning to speak french its very easy to just think of sentences in english and translate word by word. This leads to difficulties in being understood. Imitation is better observe what people say and copy. This will lead onto tomorrows article imitation is the highest form of flattery.

Hi, welcome to our new blog for learning french. The goal is to share some of the less conventional side of learning another language. Im sure much of what we put will be frowned upon but the aim here is to be understood and converse in french. There are a million website for the formal side here is purely based on our experiences.This blog is created by myself and my girlfriend Sian.
